I-Taxplan ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
What you give us. When you fill in a contact form on this site, we collect your name, email address, and phone number.
What the qualification chat collects. Our home page and our advertising landing pages open with a short chat before showing you a form. What you type there is collected, along with the assistant's own summary of it — typically your employment type, an income band, how you file today, what prompted you to look, your timeline, and whether you are open to investing in planning. We ask you not to enter Social Security numbers, bank or card details, or copies of tax documents into the chat, and the assistant is instructed to decline them.
What we collect automatically. Pages you view, how far you scroll, the campaign parameters in the link that brought you here (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term), and standard web-server information such as IP address, browser, and device type.
We use what you give us to evaluate your inquiry, to contact you about it, and to carry out the planning or resolution work you ask us for. We use the automatically collected information to measure how our advertising performs and to improve the site. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties.
I-Taxplan works with independent partner tax professionals, including a CPA firm, on consumer inquiries. When you submit a consumer inquiry, the details may be shared with those partners so your situation can be evaluated and served — this includes your name, email, phone number, the income band and situation summary from the chat, and the campaign parameters of the link you arrived on. They receive it for that purpose only and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing.
Beyond that, we disclose your information only to the service providers described below, and where we are required to by law.
We rely on a small number of providers to run this site: a hosting and content-delivery provider, an email delivery provider that sends us your inquiry, and Anthropic PBC, which runs the AI model behind the qualification chat. What you type in the chat is transmitted to Anthropic's API to generate each reply; Anthropic is a separate company and processes that data under its own terms. Anthropic states that it does not train its models on data submitted through its commercial API. Our AI disclosure sets out which model we use, what happens to what you type, and the limits of what the chat can tell you.
Our advertising landing pages (/lp/w2, /lp/sbo, /lp/re) and the confirmation page that follows a form submission run the Meta pixel (pixel ID 1553065252907361), which sets cookies in your browser and reports to Meta Platforms, Inc. so we can measure which ads lead to inquiries. The on-page banner tells you this is happening and links here.
What the pixel records: that the page was viewed, that you scrolled more than halfway down it, that a form was submitted, and the campaign parameters of the link you arrived on.
What the pixel does not record: your income, your tax position, any figure or answer from the qualification chat, anything you type into the chat, and your name, email address, or phone number. None of that is sent to Meta.
How to opt out. You can control and limit how Meta uses data about you for advertising in your Meta account at accountscenter.facebook.com/ad_preferences. You can also block or delete these cookies in your browser's privacy settings, or use its tracking-protection controls; the pixel cannot report on you if your browser blocks it. Blocking it does not affect your ability to use the site or submit a form.
I-Taxplan is a tax-planning service. Browsing this site, using the chat, or submitting a form does not create a CPA–client relationship or a professional engagement — that happens only when you separately contract for one. We treat what you tell us as confidential, limit access to our own team and to the partner tax professionals described above, and never sell or trade it. Once you separately engage a CPA — ours or a partner firm — that engagement carries its own professional confidentiality obligations in addition to this policy.
We use industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect your personal and financial information. While we take every reasonable precaution, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. The chat is not a secure document channel — when we need documents from you, we will tell you how to send them securely.
You can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing the address below. You can ask us to stop contacting you at any time. You can opt out of ad measurement as described above.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Our website may contain links to external websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.
